About
The Sto. Niño Parish Church in Tacloban City is one of the oldest and most venerated Catholic churches in Eastern Visayas, believed to have been built in the late 18th century. The church has survived typhoons, war, and the devastating Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda) in 2013, and has since been restored to its former glory. Its interiors house century-old religious artworks and the beloved image of the Sto. Niño. Masses are held daily and the church is a centre of the annual Sangyaw Festival.
