Naval, the capital of Biliran Province, contains a charming cluster of Spanish-era and American-period heritage structures that trace the island's colonial history. Nearby, ancestral houses with hardwood construction and wide azotea balconies line the heritage streets. Naval is the main entry point to Biliran and is accessible by bus from Tacloban City via the Biliran Bridge. The heritage walk around the plaza takes about 2 hours with a local guide.
